The whisky was distilled in 2004 and matured for 17 years in a wine hogshead with the number R08/290-16.

]]> The distillery Port Charlotte was founded in 1829 by Colin Campbell. After having many different owners it was shut down in 1929. The warehouses still exist and are also used. The distillery used to have the name Lochindaal or Loch Indaal as well. There are produced and bottled whiskys in Bruichladdich unwder the name ‘Port Charlotte’. The announced reopening by Bruichladdich has not been realized until today.

]]> Glenburgie started producing in 1829 under the name Kinflat. In 2004/2005 the distillery was completely refurbished and is now producing for Pernod ricard, mostly for their own Blends Teachers and Ballantines.

]]> Glenrothes was founded by William Grant & Co. In 1878 and is located in the Speyside in the area of Rothes. A fire destroyed warehouse number one and the 2.000 stored casks on the 15th May in 1922. The burning whiksy was flowing down the Burn of Rothes admist through the village.

]]> The Glen Moray distillery is located in the Speyside and was built by the Glen Moray Glenlivet Distillery Co. Ltd in 1897. It is the only distillery at the shore of the Lossie, where it also gets its water from. The name Glen Moray means as much as ‘valley of the village at the lake’.
