The distillery lays at the bottom of the Ben Nevis, the highest mountain of Scotland, located at the Western Highlands next to Fort William. It was built 1825 by John McDonald, a descendant of the Lord of the Isles. Between 1984 and 1990 the production was stopped, after Nikka took over the company the production continued one year later. The water for Ben Nevis comes from the Allt A Mhullin Burn.

This Ben Nevis is a single cask bottling from a hogshead. The whisky was bottled in 2022 by Berry Bros & Rudd with an alcohol strength of 52.6% and was limited to 260 bottles.
The whiskey is incredibly complex and has mainly fruity notes and a hint of malt, honey and marzipan.
