On the other hand, Amrut launched a completely new brand in 2021 with Single Malts of India. The aim of the brand is to bring together previously hidden Indian whiskey pearls from various distilleries under one roof. The pioneer bottling, Neidhal, is the first independently bottled single malt in India, according to Amrut. Neidhal, the coastal region, stands for one of the five regions of the world classified in ancient Tamil texts – each with its own characteristics. And now also our own whiskey. As a representative of the Indian coastal landscape, the peated single malt refined by Amrut shows tropical fruits and sweet vanilla as well as soft phenols, sea salt and iodine.
