Die Maische f\u00fcr den Irish Whiskey besteht aus ungem\u00e4lzter Gerste, der ein kleiner Teil Gerstenmalz zugesetzt wird - das Ergebnis nennt sich \"Pure Pot Still\". Nach einer sehr wechselvollen Geschichte und dem Niedergang der irischen Whiskyindustrie gibt es seit einigen Jahren eine Vielzahl von neuen Projekten und Brennereien in Irland.
