Sie wurde im Jahre 1839 gegr\u00fcndet. In der Brennerei wurde schon sehr fr\u00fch (1870) begonnen Sherryf\u00e4sser zur Lagerung zu verwenden, die dem rauchigen und etwas trockenen Malt eine sanfte S\u00fc\u00dfe verleihen.
