Bereits im 15. Jahrhundert bezogen Viehh\u00e4ndler und -treiber ihren Whisky am Ort der heutigen Brennerei in Tomatin in den Highlands. 1897 wurde sie legalisiert. Heute f\u00fchrt die A 9 zwischen Perth und Inverness in ihrer N\u00e4he vorbei und sie geh\u00f6rt zu den gr\u00f6\u00dften Brennereien Schottlands. Ein Gro\u00dfteil ihres Whiskys wird f\u00fcr Blends verwendet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

Dieser Tomatin 2009 reifte in einem Tempranillo Wine Barrique und wurde von Flickenschild & dem Whiskyhort abgef\u00fcllt. Insgesamt ergab das Fass mit der Nummer 3505 noch 286 Flaschen mit 60,3%.<\/p>\n

Nachdem wir vor knapp einem Jahr bereits gemeinsam mit dem Whiskyhort einen Tomatin aus dem Tempranillo Fass auf den Markt gebracht haben und dieser innerhalb von wenigen Tagen restlos ausverkauft war, war uns klar, dass dies nicht der letzte Tomatin gewesen sein durfte! Und was sollen wir sagen? Unsere Vorfreude seit der Auswahl des Fasses hat sich nach Eintreffen der Flaschen sogar noch gesteigert. Die Abf\u00fcllung unterscheidet sich geschmacklich zwar deutlich von der Vorjahres Edition, das tut der Qualit\u00e4t aber keineswegs einen Abbruch!<\/em><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Intensiv fruchtige Noten, nussige Ankl\u00e4nge, dunkle Trauben und Schokolade sind nur einige der zu entdeckenden Fassetten dieses Whiskys, dem definitiv etwas Zeit im Glas gegeben werden sollte und der sich mit der Zeit erstaunlich oft wandelt! Die 60,3% sind nach fast 13 Jahren sehr gut eingebunden und kaum wahrnehmbar.<\/em><\/div>\n
