Orkney Single Malt 2011 Thompson Bros – 50%

Dieser Whisky wurde 2010 in einer nicht genannten Orkney Brennerei destilliert. Er wurde 2022 von den Thompson Bros abgefüllt, nachdem er in einem Refill Hogshead reifte.

Official Tasting Notes
Nose: Brine, capers, crushed black olives, honey, wax, heather, earthy, musty and quite peaty. Pickled walnuts, burnt brioche. Like sitting in an old dunnage (near a smoking kiln)
Palate: Salty & peaty with some sweeter notes; brioche, croissants, buttercream. Briney olives & caperberries. Touches of heather honey and meadow flowers
Finish: Leather, lanolin, walnut oil, salty brine, sea spray, gentle smoke, kippers and a drying ashy note.
